As an experienced, certified resume writer/coach and LinkedIn expert, I can help you make the best possible impression through the written materials that introduce you.

There’s a lot you need your resume or LinkedIn profile to accomplish. To get results, it must:

  • Stand out among hundreds of other resumes or profiles – whether scanned by a human eye or electronically.
  • Grab the attention of a busy decision-maker.
  • Communicate your unique value proposition – your personal brand – within 20-30 seconds.
  • Show not just what you’ve done, but how well you’ve done it. (This is essential!)
  • Be free of clichés, unproven claims, excessive superlatives, and other “pet peeves” of HR and hiring managers.
  • Contain the right key words.
  • Convey credibility and professionalism without being boring.
  • Be flawless, with no typos or errors.
  • Maximize your strengths and minimize anything that might count against you – e.g. zigzags in work history, gaps in experience, mature age, etc.
  • Convince employers to reach out to you.

Document Review and Coaching

The most affordable (and often the fastest) way to work with me for great job search communications is through document review and coaching. I will give you specific, customized guidance as you transform your resume, profile and/or cover letter. I can then provide light editing and simple formatting to polish your final draft.

This do-it-yourself approach is a good plan if you have time, motivation and above-average writing skills. If you’re not sure which option is best for you, please contact me for a free consultation.

     Quick Look Session – $80 ($95 value, save $15)

  • 30-minute phone consultation
  • Free copy of my Resume Resources or LinkedIn Resources    

(Optional: You may wish to purchase additional reviewing/editing later at my regular rate of $160 per hour.)

     Closer Look – $375 ($415 value, save $40)

  • Personalized written recommendations, based on review of your existing draft and two job postings you select, telling you how to improve your resume or profile to better support your career goals (1.5 hr.)
  • 30-minute consultation via phone or Skype to go over the recommendations, answer questions and ensure you are clear on how to revise your document
  • Free copy of my Resume Resources or LinkedIn Resources 
  • 30 minutes of phone and/or email support while you work on your document

     One-Week Coach-and-Edit – $595 ($655 value, save $60)

  • Everything in the Closer Look package above, PLUS:
  • After you revise your draft, a 1.5-hr. edit of the revised draft within 2 business days of my receiving it
  • Note: Your revised draft must be received within 5 days after I provide your written recommendations, so please schedule this project during a week when you have enough time to do your revision. 


I have limited availability for resume, LinkedIn profile and cover letter writing. When available, this process generally begins with an in-depth meeting in which I gather information by asking you many questions about your experience and skills. I generally avoid questionnaires,  as I’ve discovered that a discussion works better in most cases.

The cost depends on the complexity of the project. Resumes and LinkedIn profiles may cost anywhere from $500 (recent graduate) to $900+ for the resume or profile itself. Adding a second item – e.g., adding a LinkedIn profile after writing your resume, or adding a cover letter template you can then customize for each job opening – is typically about half the cost of the first project.
